1. In the last few years, there have been significant developments in the run-of-river hydro systems. I would like to know the capital costs for run-of-river hydro systems, for various scales of operations (say, from 2 MW to 200 MW).
2. What is the lifetime of large hydro projects? Is it really true that a large hydro project could exist for over 100 years without much alterations and reconstruction?
3. It is said that the total cost of electricity production from many old, large hydroelectric projects are negligible, which means their profit margins are enormous. Could someone tell me what is the total cost of electricity production (LCOE) of hydroelectric plants that are, say, and 30 years old…
