Comment facility

PENpages' visitor comments facility - not sure that there's really any more we're prepared to add or change with this... but depends on what you want?
Would it be possible to turn on or off the comment feature for different entries?
If so, could this be done so that existing entries are still displayed. This would allow users to cap the number of entries - a bit like locking a forum thread.
Also people can use Penpages to build a simple website, not just a blog.
Visitor's : Add Comment

I think what would be good, is a page that lists the latest say 20 comments. Layout would have: Name (of visitor), Date of comment, Title of blog entry, Category, then the comment.
Primarily the purpose is for Blog owners to see new comments without having to go to each relevant entry. Perhaps a link to the comment page could appear in an unobstusive way below the Category Navigation (left column) simply as... (124) or (New) - this number being the total number of comments in the database or could we have a flag indicating new comments since last checking (if it's not too hard).

Another thing, can we have the comments display in descending date order (most recent at top)?
Hmm... need to do this for the lates blog entries on the home page as well. Thanks :)

Comments are now displayed in descending date order. I think it is silly though, the comment discussion is presented in reverse chronological order.

Yes locking an entry will be easy to implement, I'll have to add an additional database field though.
